FREE Livestream Access to Education Partners

Education is at the core of Boulanger Initiative’s mission, and this year, we are thrilled to provide free virtual access to WoCo Fest 2021: Revelry to education partners across the country, including music programs in K-12 and higher education, private teaching studios, Youth Orchestras and Choirs, summer music festivals, and more. This will give thousands of students and teachers the opportunity to attend performances and panel discussions online, learning about music by composers of marginalized genders in the most transformative way possible.

Students: Inform your teachers and schools about this opportunity and reach out to us if interested!

The deadline to sign up for free livestream access is May 31st 2021.

To sign your school or youth orchestra up for free virtual access to the festival, contact grace@boulangerinitiative.org.

Support BI’s Education Initiatives

The students who enjoy WoCo Fest today will perform music by women tomorrow - or be inspired to become composers themselves. But we need your help to make this possible! Your support makes it possible for BI to share WoCo Fest with our partner schools, expanding access and inspiring tomorrow’s artists. And thanks to a generous BI supporter, every dollar you give toward our $10,000 goal will be matched, doubling your impact and allowing even more students and teachers to attend WoCo Fest completely free.

Education Partner Testimonials

University of Maryland, School of Music

“As musicians work to diversify their repertoire and study, the Boulanger Initiative has proven to be an invaluable resource. The 2021 WoCo Fest will further expose music students to the range of classical music's diversity, help them to understand the challenges and opportunities in building a career, and enable them to see models of musicians who are committed to building a better and more equitable future.”

Randolph-Macon College

“This opportunity is incredibly valuable for our campus, as one of the main goals of our music program is to expose students to as wide a range of musical experiences as possible. As a small liberal arts college, we can only offer a small amount of on-campus opportunities for our student population of mostly non-music majors, so events like the WoCo Fest allow us to expand our musical horizons in ways that we would not have otherwise been able to.”

University of Michigan

“My students have an interest in expanding their performance repertoire or diversifying their classroom teaching, and they need resources and exposure. Concerts such as these, that feature composers they may not have known about otherwise, can not only inspire this generation of teachers and performers, but also their future students and audiences.”

Cleveland Institute of Music

“Especially for marginalized identities—including women and marginalized genders—access creates equity, and the Cleveland Institute of Music community couldn’t be more grateful to WoCo for offering free virtual access to our students for Revelry.”
