Barclay Brass will be performing arrangements of pieces by Hildur Guðnadóttir and Lili Boulanger, as well as a surprise world premiere commissioned for WoCo Fest.
Established in 2015, the Barclay Brass is an ensemble comprised of some of Washington DC’s top brass musicians. Performers of the highest caliber, Barclay Brass members are proud to serve as musicians in the premier military bands in Washington, DC. From the Pope to the President, these members have performed for some of the highest profile officials and ceremonies. As highly sought after freelance musicians, some members have performed with groups such as Baltimore Symphony, Boston Symphony, Empire Brass, National Symphony, New York Philharmonic, and many other high profile ensembles throughout the country.

Boulanger Initiative ends WoCo Fest 2020 with a performance by a group that redefines the classical music experience. Third Coast Percussion is a Grammy-Award Winning Chicago-based percussion quartet that conducts shows with audience engagement like no other. They will be performing the World Premiere of JLin’s “Perspective”, Boulanger Initiative’s first commissioning project. With six full-length albums, three EPs, and a number of appearances on other releases under their belt, TCP not only performs and creates, but also educates and inspires. Students around the world are taught by their programs such as “Think Outside the Drum” and “Waves”. Third Coast Percussion has raised the bar for classical music in the 21st century, making them the perfect fit for closing out WoCo Fest 2020.
